Before you book
Can we bring our own caterer?
Yes, and most people do. The kitchen is a finishing kitchen with a walk-in fridge, and we have a short list of caterers who know it; you are welcome to use anyone insured. There is no corkage on wine you bring.
Is the ceremony outside?
It can be, on the terrace facing the fields, with the garden room as the plan if it rains. Both are set for the same ceremony, so the decision can wait until the morning.
What time does the music stop?
The last song is at 12:45 and the hall is yours until 1 a.m. The lane is lit until the last car leaves, and we have three taxi firms on the board.
How long do you hold a date?
Seven days after a viewing, free. The deposit to confirm is 25% of the venue hire, and the balance is due a month before the day.
Is any of this real?
No. The Oakline Hall is a fictional venue built as a concept demo by The Nerd Next Door. The rooms are drawn in code, the dates, the prices and the names are invented, and nothing on this page books, checks or sends.
Come and stand in the hall
Viewings Thursday to Saturday, by appointment. Half an hour, the rooms as they will be, and a date held for seven days after.
