A warm room, a full shelf and a seat for everyone.

Riverbend is the neighbourhood hub by the river. The pantry, the homework club and the Wednesday lunch run on volunteers and on gifts from people who live here. Need help today? Call 226-555-0142 or walk in; no forms at the door.

Every gift travels the same five steps, in the same order.

The order is the promise. A gift cannot be spent before it has a destination you can read, and it cannot change destination without passing a gate.

Every dollar lands in one ledger you can read.

Where a gift goes is confirmed before it is spent, and what it bought is posted the same month.

    • Stocked shelves

Gifts buy the fresh food that donations of cans can’t cover: milk, eggs, produce.

    • Snacks and supplies

The homework club gets fruit, pencils and a printer that works.

    • A warm, open room

Heat, light and the doors open six days a week.

    • Receipts and reports

Tax receipts by email for $20 or more; cancel a monthly gift any time. The month’s ledger is on the board by the door.
