Tidy Sums · Cambridge

A small office,on purpose.

We keep the client list short so every email gets a real answer, and we explain what we did in words you would use yourself.

How we work

No jargon, no surprise invoices

Tidy Sums is a small bookkeeping and tax practice for people who would rather not think about bookkeeping and tax. We work with families, freelancers and small businesses in Cambridge and the region.

If we cannot explain it in a sentence, we have not understood it yet. You get the price before we start; if the job grows, we ask first. The same accountant answers your emails, files your return and picks up the phone. Everything is in a shared folder you own: leave any time and take it with you.

Questions

The fair ones.

Do I need to come in?

No. Most clients never do. Send documents through a secure upload link and meet by phone or video.

What do I bring to the free call?

Nothing but your questions. If it helps, have last year’s notice of assessment handy.

Can you fix years of messy books?

Yes. Catch-up bookkeeping is quoted as a separate fixed fee after we see what is there.

When do I need to book for tax season?

By the end of March for personal returns. After that we may not be able to take new clients until June.

Rather write?

Send a short note.

We reply within one business day. Please do not send tax documents by email; we send a secure upload link instead.

Sample form: it does not send anything.
